Since inspiring the world’s first twin city in 1944, Coventry has continued to develop links around the world. Today, with 26 twinned cities from 18 countries, Coventry is world-renowned for its multicultural citizenship and spirit of international friendship.

Each of the city’s eighteen 3 Trees Peace Gardens, one in each of the 18 Wards, is dedicated to one of the eighteen countries with whom Coventry shares a sister City.

Each garden is a triangular planting of Hazel, Maple and Holly, each representing one of Coventry’s three spires which survived the heavy bombings of the blitz during World War 2.
